Volunteer to make an impact

Want make an impact and connect with people who need you? Here are a few ways to volunteer with us:

Meal Support

Are you a chef who wants to prepare a feast for hungry people? Or a worker bee who loves to serve? Do you have a hankering to bake and not enough people at home to bake for? We’ve got a spot for you.

Host a donation drive

Is collecting and gifting your love language? Spread the opportunity to support Hope and Bread by hosting a sock or underwear or cold weather clothing drive at your place of employment, worship, or school. We can provide fliers and guidelines. Contact us; we’d love to hear from you.

Visit, learn, and share

Guests are always welcome at our weekly gathering in East Portland’s Montavilla Park at 82nd & Glisan on Sundays at 5pm. After you visit, you may have ideas of how to join our community in ways that are nurturing to your spirit and to the gathering. Share your ideas with us!

Spread the word

As a new and growing street church, we count on our friends to share the good news of what we have to offer. This can be as simple as following us on Instagram and encouraging your friends to do the same. We’re also happy to come talk about Hope and Bread at your faith community or other group.

“The Rev. Sara Fischer preached at St. Michael’s with theological depth, contextual understanding, and a rich spirituality that drew hearers into the mission of God in our city.” ~The Rev. Scott Painter,
